Bringing safe products to market, a Code of Practice: PAS 2000:2026 Construction Products draft

The draft PAS 2000:2026, Construction products – Bringing safe products to market – Code of practice was released in 2025 for comment. The BSI website gives very little description or detail of this Publicly Available Standard (PAS), but states that the draft must not be regarded as or used as a published PAS, and is not current beyond 18 August 2025. No copying is allowed, in any form, without written permission from BSI except as permitted under the Copyright, Design and Patent Act 1988 or for circulation within a participating organisation and/or its membership network for briefing purposes.

"BSI have launched a public consultation for PAS 2000, Construction Products – Bringing Safe Products to Market – Code of Practice. Scheduled for publication in early 2026, this new standard will provide vital recommendations for carrying out due diligence before construction products are placed on the market. It addresses:

• Pre-market risk assessment
• Factory production control processes
• Product information and collection
• Use of market feedback
